by Carolina Frederico on January 16, 2009

A lot of people are hearing that getting an account on Twitter is good for your projects and businesses, but there are much more things involved on the Twitter use.

The Twitter tool might work as a way of attract people to your blog, but there are manners and a few tips that can really make the difference for the reputation of your brand. on last, January the iBreakfast, the topic was “Glitter in Twitter”, and the main discussion was How Business are Using this micro blogging tool.

In the video above are a few insights from the speakers on the panel:

  • Howard Lindzon, from StockTwits
  • Stephen Gilberg, from WineTiwts
  • Chris Muscarella, from mCommons
  • Gregory Galant, from Sawhorse Media

To understand more about what wad discussed on the iBreakfast and learn how can you flirt using Twitter check out the video below.

Deborah Micek, or only Coach Deb, is one of my Social Media genius-heroes. We had the pleasure of meeting her at the last BlogWorld & New Media Expo, in Las Vegas. I attended to her class about “How to Seduce Your Tribe and Create Raving Fans”. She is also the author of the first published book on New Media Marketing, “Secrets of Online Persuasion”.

What you can see in the video above is a very interesting approach Coach Deb has about Twitter use. For her, Twitting is more about keep the conversation about a common interest going, and joining the discussion asking “How can you help the community”, not  “What can you get”.

The rise of corporate blogging, and as it seems now, twittering is certainly interesting. As long as it remains how you can help and not what you can get – hard to imagine from a corporate perspective.
