Blogging for money reaches the Mainstream Media in NY Daily News in article about the uses of Social Media

Blogging for money is nothing new for those who are already getting paid or paying out. Those are the ones who realized the power of putting out content and giving up something for free to get clients or make sales. Also, big companies that advertise on TV now have realized that traditional commercials and press releases are no longer that effective.

We now live in a time when we can do what we love and monetize it with ease, through sponsorships, barter product reviews, Affiliate Marketing and more. It is easier than you think if you are willing to work as hard for yourself as you do for your boss.

This topic is so hot that NY Daily News dedicated an entire page in their “Money” section about Social Media uses and how to monetize your blogs. In the article called “Blogging for Bucks: How Pros Get Paid for Their Work” the reporter Mildred L. Culp showcases the professional bloggers who get paid or cause marketing for the topics they know the most and love the best.

Are you living in the Past, in the Future or in the Present?

Crisis, changes, new generation, new rules, new manners, new values. We are living in a time that everybody is connected to each other (and in a very few years everybody is going to know each other), so we would like to know is: Are you online???

Did you realized that things that use to take 50 years to happen are happening in seconds, the time is passing faster and things changes every single second? Kids are developing scarily fast and in a few decades the adult age will probably be reduce to the half. In the future, everybody is going to be a genius. Just take a look in our children.

The Occidental Society based education on fear used to obtain control: the news, the laws, the rules… Everything that happens is supposed to make you afraid. When you are a kid, you are supposed to be afraid of your parents or of the characters they create to make children behave themselves. But when you grow up, it is possible to learn and get to the truth. The truth can make you miserable, but will make you free as soon as you realize is much better walk around with your eyes open and have a real vision about what is in fact going on.

That is what Blogging is about. Most of people lives in the past, because they feel safe, it is supposedly more comfortable. On the other hand, way before this “Blogs Boom”, Blogger or the ones who understand Social Media are the ones who are not afraid of put themselves out there, ask questions and propose answers. Probably Bloggers, were for a while living in the living in the future, and living there has a price too. Most of people just don’t get what you are saying or trying to do. Probably…

What this whole Social Media revolution is doing. Giving to every single person the possibility of being their own media, express themselves as an unique person and as part of a community is actually bringing everybody to the present. And that is great!!!

Marshal McLuhan talks about it in the video below. What it understand why we said the “The Media is the Message”, or “The Medium is the Message”. He died in 1980 and what he said more than 40 years ago totally matches with what is happening nowadays. He was so ahead of his time, but everybody is getting together now, the present!

The video had been taken from the YouTube user Kenrg @ YouTube.com/User/Kenrg, who also believes that caming up with such terms as “the global village” and “the medium is the message,” Marshall McLuhan, predicted this all would happen.

For You, What Is Blogging?

What is blogging or a blogger to you? There are so many Blog nowadays with these blogs come all types of topics. What kind of blogger are you Education, Citizen Journalist, Hobby, environmental, family, business blogger or main stream news. Some of us do one type while others enjoy a mix of many topic across many blogs they own or networks they post to. For me I love teaching, citizen Journalism, product reviews, sports and more. How do you know what type of blogger you are?

This is not that hard you to find out. It usually just happens to most people. There are other ways to find out. First do you like to write or shoot video? Second are you in a position to help others learn? Do you like to get stories that you see on the streets. Lots of Companies that do not blog need to watch there steps. for instance Path Mark supper markets had rotten meats because of open packaging. I Shot video and showed the manager. Later head quarters called me back I missed the call. I tried to call them back with no luck so I will post that video here youtube and on Helloignorants and Streets Journalism

The point is that companies have to do the right things these days with some many cameras watching. The best thing for these companies to do would be there own blog to control what happens by allowing others to post comments. Then they can do the right thing by following up. So look around you will find things to blog about or I should say they will find you.blogging on up to the east side.
